
The foremost pidgin playwright and the translator of William Shakespeare’s works to pidgin is set to take the Nigerian Pidgin Literature & Shakespeare in pidgin to the Global stage. The Edo born playwright has a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Arts both from the University of Ibadan and is set to perform an excerpt monologue ‘To be or not to be’ in pidgin from his debut; Hamlet as Oga pikin.

The 8th Kenyan International Theatre Festival will host 12 countries; South Africa, Italy, Finland, Nigeria, Tanzania, India, Sweden, Malawi, Ireland, Germany, and Netherlands. The 8th edition will take place at the National Theatre Nairobi starting on the 31st October to 12th November 2023.
