Senator Ned Nwoko, the Delta North representative in Nigeria’s National Assembly, has publicly denied allegations that he is attempting to reconcile with his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.
The controversy arose after Regina alleged that Nwoko had been dispatching family members to mediate while simultaneously criticizing her on social media.
Supporting Regina’s claims, fellow actress Doris Ogala echoed similar sentiments in a recent Instagram post.
However, Nwoko’s communications team swiftly issued a rebuttal, categorically denying any attempts at reconciliation and asserting that the senator has no intention of welcoming Regina back into his home.
The statement further refuted Regina’s accusations regarding alleged involvement with drugs and illicit activities, labeling them as baseless and unprovable.
Nwoko attributed Regina’s erratic social media behavior to substance abuse, citing her struggles with rehabilitation.
According to the senator, his final WhatsApp exchange with Regina included an ultimatum—either return to rehab or lose financial support—which allegedly triggered a violent outburst, resulting in property damage.
Nwoko also expressed dismay over Regina’s unauthorized release of a private video depicting him in a vulnerable state, calling the act a breach of trust.
The statement concluded by alleging that Regina had relapsed into drug use during her birthday celebrations, derailing her progress in rehabilitation.
