Diezani Alison-Madueke, a former minister of petroleum, has refuted a media story that said she begged President Bola Tinubu to let her return to Nigeria.Remember that a report purportedly stated that Alison-Madueke recently gave a press briefing in London and acknowledged that, while serving as the petroleum minister, she embezzled funds from Nigeria.

According to report, the article further stated that the former minister claimed to have given the current governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, nine billion dollars.

According to the media source, Diezani, who is reportedly suffering illness, is pleading with President Tinubu to grant her permission to enter the nation once more and admit to any financial misdeeds she committed while in power.

It further said that the ex-minister said she would be happy to give specific details regarding the money she allegedly embezzled while in government. Following the phony interview, the newspaper that published the story removed it.

The media article, according to Alison-Madueke, is fake, manufactured, and an attempt to discredit her reputation. She made this claim in a statement that she personally signed on Sunday, December 24.

 

 

The former minister denied the interview in which she claimed to have indicted the current governor of Zamfara and begged to go back home.
