Heavy security presence has been spotted at the Lekki tollgate amidst the third anniversary of the #EndSARS protest today, October 20.
A memorial walk was organised to commemorate the tollgate shooting during the nationwide #EndSARS protests of 2020.
Security operatives on the 20th of October, 2020 reportedly fired live rounds into a crowd of armless young persons who had converged on the tollgate to protest decades of police brutality.
The death toll from the incident remains unclear, three years after.
At the time of filing this report, heavy presence of police officers attached to the Lagos police command are at the Lekki tollgate.
