In his statement, he said, “We are in a crisis situation in Nigeria, and these crises require drastic measures, so I just feel like the best way is to make sure that people are given the opportunity to protect themselves and their families. Just imagine armed robbers knocking on somebody’s door and asking them to open the door. They would be compelled to open the door, and they could kill their families and molest their wives or daughters. If you have a gun and armed robbers ask you to open the door, shoot into the air, they will run.”
