The Baale of Okun-Ajah has been captured on video, challenging the Minister of Works, David Umahi, during a press conference.
During the press conference, he told the minister that the coastal lane they are about to construct is in the ocean and not in their land. The traditional ruler disclosed that they have been calling on the federal government to come and claim the ocean for years, but instead, they are now claiming his community.
He also said;
“As of 2006 when we moved in there the routes for the coastal road were already demarcated. Now the federal government is having a new realignment which encroaches on the whole village entirely. The whole community is finished by the new alignment.”
